Del Boy in Clonea,Co.Waterford!
Last Sunday we drove to Clonea beach and wandered into the nearby caravan park which happened to be closing for the season, and i spotted the famous yellow three wheeler!
I had a few words with the owner, who didnt resemble del boy at all, but produced the suede jacket for a laugh from the boot of the car!
He got it for his 50th birthday he told me, and added that the speed bumps around the park are a killer for him to drive over!

September in the garden
Below are a few favourites still doing well on the 18th September!
I am still waiting for the sunflower to emerge, and my lily on the pond is braving the blanketweed surrounding it!
With the bonus of the long awaited sunshine the begonias are thriving and my little patio rose has not stopped producing flowers all summer long.
The sambuca black lace is spreading out too and the japanese anenomes are still lovely.

Sunny Spain and the All Ireland too!
Below are photos of our recent break to majorca, including the all-ireland hurling finals which i had to drag myself away from the pool for!
Most of them are taken around Alcudia beach and the old town and markets, and a day trip to Palma to see the shops and cathedral, where a wedding happened to be taking place when we arrived. The wedding party looked quite small in comparison to irish weddings and copious amounts of rice were thrown at the happy couple when they emerged from the church!

Well we are back from our week in Majorca and it certainly does what it says on the tin, plenty of sunshine, cheap food and drink and cigs!
We visited the capital Palma on the local bus about an hours drive, and Pt.de Pollensa nearby. Lying by the pool or beach during the day and deciding where to eat by night! Plenty of entertainment on offer in the clubhouse or out on the town and then the shopping!
Would recommend it for a week in the sun anytime a mere 2 hours flight!

Well all good things come to those who wait and god have i waited..........for some semblance of summer here in the emerald isle so called because it rains so much everything gets greener and greener!
Anyway having given up all hope of a blue sky and sweltering heat my other half and i are off on Tuesday next to Majorca, in SUNNY SPAIN
First time ever there so GREAT EXPECTIONS!
Of course the reading material has to be considered, so these are my choice of books, apparently my daughter who gets through a zillion books per week says i am the only woman who has not yet read Eat, Pray Love so there in lies a challenge!
I am the kind of person who lounges on the sun lounger and holds the book aloft and after the first two pages starts to relax.....relax....relax...sleep....sleep...zzzzzzz,
you get the picture so hopefully some little reading will be done!
Hope the shock of seeing a blue sky and feeling heat will not kill me!
Pictures and reports to follow!
