Kinsale

yesterday was so nice we decided to take a spin to kinsale which is about 20mins drive from cork city.there were plenty of tourists around, boats bobbing on the water and we even spotted a seal looking for fish from the local fishermen!kinsale town really "pushes the boat out"(pardon the pun)when it comes to flowers and colourful shopfronts!
hope you enjoy the photos.(you can click on photos to enlarge)!

perseverance pays off

After a bit of reading on blogger.com i have at least managed to upload a few photos! i feel a photo frenzy coming on!these are looking good in my garden at the moment (scroll down)leading to me standing at the kitchen window gazing out in admiration!pity its a bit windy at the moment as the petals on the stargazer are being blown skyward!
we are in the process of removing the hedge around the back garden . it once stood over 8ft tall but now it is competing with ivy and thorny roses growing through it.there is an awful lot more light coming through now that some of it has been removed but its going to be a long hard slog!
