Some hellebores in the foreground too!
Daffodills and snowdrops.
The locked gates through which the drifts of snowdrops can be spied for free!
The avenue going into the castle grounds with clumps of snowdrops on each side.
The silhouette of Blarney Castle can be seen through the trees as the sun was going down.
A welcome coffee and muffin in Mackeys cafe afterwards!
Finally, spotted this great sign in the nearby Blarney Woolen Mills shop!
Happy Gardening!
It looks like a wonderful place to visit. This weekend we had temps in the 20's (F) and a 'dusting' of snow Sunday night, it was gone by 5 a.m., but still, snow is snow. Now that we've had winter, I'm ready to get in the garden. Happy Valentine's Day!
ReplyDeleteI find every year that by the time I realise the snow drops are out in force it's too late to get to somewhere were they are abundant. Glad to have a peep at the castle.
ReplyDeleteMeant to say that the last photo made me smile.
