Tangled Webs!

 Oh what a tangled web we weave,when first we pratice to deceive!
A recent foggy morning left in its wake a stunning collection of web designs all over my garden.
My camera does not do the intricacy of the patterns justice but here is a selection anyway!

 I wonder how long it takes for the spiders to weave these webs?

 This one on the right was a very tangled web indeed,woven through my very slow growing ivy!

 Just popped in a bit of colour with these kaffir lilies!

Seasons

After a beautiful seasonal September here in Southern Ireland,the trees in my neighbourhood have a lovely color display going on!

 This beautiful beech hedge runs the length of the road and is almost maintenance free as it keeps its shape and then loses all its leaves during winter,turning green again for spring,a wise choice.

 Copper,red and golden hues.

And Christmas season is fast approaching!

Pretty Peach Poppy

Just thought I would post up this photo of a lovely poppy which flowered earlier on in the Summer in my garden!A little remodelling is called for both front and back for the coming year as I intend to have lots and lots of Spring bulbs in bloom when the time comes,so out with the shrubs and in with the bulbs!

Discovered these lovely Poppies just opening this morning in my little patch out the back!It was a beautiful autumn morning too!

Road Trip!

 Last Friday we took a road trip from Cork to Tipperary,but instead of travelling the motorway which bypasses all the towns en route we decided to take a detour into Cashel where we had not been for a long while.I was surprised at how well everywhere was looking until I realised of course Queen Elizabeth of England had paid a visit to the Rock of Cashel  in May 2011 and the work put in still shows in the lovely flowers in bloom around the town and the tourist influx as a result of the visit too with plenty of americans walking around .We spoke to one lovely man,a sprightly 87 yrs. from Cape Cod who travels to Ireland each year for the last 30yrs since he retired and is loving each visit!

 This lovely restuarant on the Main St. with Ryan being my middle name and with Tipperary origins I had to have a photo!

 This exquisite restuarant,Michelin starred,on the way to the Rock,most of it seems to be in a restored church,maybe for evening meals,while the smaller space maybe for lunches?

 Next stop was Holy Cross  Abbey,here are the interior pictures.

 Finally onto Boulick Cemetary in  the village of Gortnahoe,my late Mothers birthplace,where my grandparents are buried now,a very quite but picturesque area.
