Last years Sunflower,it eventually resembled a large plate size it was fantastic........................
This years offering! Still waiting for my sunflower to flower!The result of planting it too late,hopefully we will get enough sun for it to open soon!

Last holiday snaps!

Just a last selection of our holiday snaps to Nice,France.The promenade is beautiful here decked out all along with these private beach areas where you pay a daily rate for your parasol and sunloungers.It is totally worth the experience as you get waiter service for your refreshing cold drinks or food and you also have bathroom/changing/shower facilities,the best seats in the house looking out on the blue mediterranean sea!

Beautiful Villefranche,just a short bus ride out of Nice.
We travelled everywhere on these lovely local buses for the sum of 1 Euro!
The second largest Galeries Lafayette outside of Paris is this one in Nice.

A few more photos the gardens at Villa Rothschild,not as fantastic as the french garden in my previous post but lovely to wander through all the same.I guess it depends on whats doing best at any time!

Back from a lovely few days in the South of France,hot sunshine and visits to lovely places along the Riviera,Villefranche sur Mer,St.Jean Cap Ferrat,Menton and a crazy train to Entrevoux high above Nice in the mountains called the Chemin de Fer de Provence! Just a sample of the highlight, the Villa and Gardens Ephrussi de Rothschild,with its 9 themed gardens laid out over 7 acres overlooking the beautiful bay of Villefranche, more to follow!



The musical fountains were switched off here so it was safe to stand on the stepping stones!

Today I celebrated another birthday,the wrong side of 50!Not complaining though when you consider the alternative as one wise man once said!

Looking forward to taking lots of pictures with my new camera given to me by the family!
