Snowdrops and Spring!

Yesterday when the wind was howling and the rain was not too far away I was gazing out my window at the garden when I spotted this jewel in the wilderness! Snowdrops in flower!I could not believe my eyes, especially as I cannot remember even planting them in this spot or when but I must have!I have always admired drifts of snowdrops in other peoples gardens but thought they were so small as to hardly bother with them but how wrong I was! I decided to snap this one before the wind and rain take it away !
Plenty more to come!

  3. I just saw my first snow drops today and then log on here to see you have them in flower!
I have one solitary yellow crocus which I intended to take a photo of when I came back from the school today but it was bucketing down rain by then.

  6. Hi everyone who responded to this post! I am LOVING my snowdrops at the moment, they are even better now than in the original photo! My camera is again giving me a headache, these digital cameras! Just read this evening on our regular gardeners column that you should divide snowdrop plants after flowering into new ground. Hopefully will be able to post new photos soon in the meantime happy gardening to everyone!
