Frosty Post!

This morning i ventured over to the Lough a local and famous bird sanctuary in the suburb of Ballyphehane,Cork City. It resembled a winter wonderland after a light covering of snow fell on an already frozen lake and surrounding trees.
Each year a Christmas Crib is erected in the centre and this year some foolhardy youths walked on the ice to the crib to remove the crowns from the heads of the three wise men and also removed the baby Jesus from his crib!
The baby Jesus has been recovered but the crowns have not, though they are not worth much according to an official.
The outer ring of the Lough is used by joggers, walkers and doggie walkers constantly during the summer and this morning one walker was spotted doing the rounds even in this weather!
It is a mile all around and takes me 10 minutes to complete on a good day!
Enjoy the photos!
