We have just got our water supply back so the shower will be going non stop today and its raining heavily at the moment with high winds too but this girl aint complaining!
Devastion!
This is what i woke up to today, my "arbour" after being blown down during a rough stormy night! The clematis montana that has flowered profusely for the past few years down on the ground and the "roof" of the arbour laying on top of it. At least the sun face that i brought home from Provence in 07 survived the crash amazing as its pottery! Another "to do" job to go on the list for spring !
I think we had some very strong gusts which the met office did not realise as some of the felt blew off the roof of my shed too.
ReplyDeleteHopefully the winds will die down but at least we can get out and about although some places are bad with fallen trees and debris so caution is still needed!

Wow....it sounds like you guys have really been hit with some bad weather. Sorry about the arbor but glad to hear that you have running water again.

So you have Montana Clematis? Glad to hear it flowers profusely for you. I just ordered one this month! I have been dealing with a bit of storm damage too..lots of sticks and garden ornaments blown around (that I should have stored) oh well.
ReplyDeleteHi Jennifer,
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by! I think i heard or read somewhere that clematis montana cannot be killed off once planted, hence my "success", i have cut it down to within a foot or two and will report on its progress or otherwise during the early summer!
